Step into a world of nostalgia and timeless character with film camera photography and videography sessions. Using classic film and retro video gear, I create one-of-a-kind images and clips that capture authentic moments in a beautifully imperfect, artistic way. These sessions are perfect for anyone looking to celebrate their story with a unique, nostalgic twist.

About Film

Shooting with film is a slower, more intentional process that celebrates imperfection and authenticity. I work with 35mm and medium format (120mm) still photography, as well as Super 8 for video, to create timeless images and nostalgic motion pieces. Each frame is thoughtfully composed and crafted, capturing light and emotion in a way that digital just can’t replicate.

Film has a unique richness and organic texture that makes every photo and video feel truly one of a kind. Choosing film is about embracing the unexpected and creating art that feels alive.

Featured Film Types

Medium Format (120 film)
My main medium format camera is the Mamiya RZ67, celebrated for its incredible detail, rich tonality, and beautiful depth of field. Unlike smaller formats, it produces exceptionally sharp images with a dreamy background blur that makes subjects pop. Its larger negative size captures more subtle textures and tones, creating a cinematic, almost three-dimensional feel. Perfect for portraits and landscapes, this camera turns each frame into a work of art.

35mm Film Cameras
I shoot with a variety of 35mm cameras, each with its own personality and strengths. Some of my favorites include the Asahi Pentax ME for its classic feel and compact design, the Canon Rebel 2000 and Nikon AF for their versatility and reliable sharpness, and the Stereo Realist for creating unique 3D-style images. 35mm film is wonderfully flexible, capturing lively, authentic moments with beautiful grain and character. These cameras are ideal for portraits, lifestyle sessions, or travel shoots, offering endless creative possibilities tailored to your vision.

Super 8 Cine Camera
I shoot Super 8 film using my Argus Cosina 706, a vintage  camera that brings a nostalgic, 1970’s cinematic quality to motion pictures. Super 8 film captures moments with a dreamy texture, soft grain, and warm tones, evoking the feel of cherished home movies. This format is ideal for capturing the essence of weddings, elopements, and intimate celebrations, offering a romantic and timeless aesthetic. It’s also perfect for stylized brand shoots, social media projects, and creative storytelling, providing a unique visual appeal that stands out in today’s digital landscape. Super 8 film doesn’t record sound, allowing the visuals to take center stage, often complemented by carefully selected music to enhance the emotional impact. Each roll of film is thoughtfully used to capture candid, meaningful moments, resulting in a highlight reel that feels authentic and personal.

Creative Film Experiences

Beyond traditional film formats, I also offer sessions using a curated collection of specialty vintage cameras, paired with unique film stocks that create everything from warm, nostalgic tones to bold, playful color shifts. Each camera and film combination brings its own character and creative possibilities, turning every session into a one-of-a-kind artistic experience. Some fun cameras in my tool belt:

  • Pocket Kodak Autographic (WW1 era, 127 film)
  • Stereo Realist (1950’s 3D Stereoscopic)
  • Kodak Stereo Camera (1950’s 3D Stereoscopic)
  • Kodak Duaflex iii (1950’s Medium Format)

I’m always on the hunt for new (old) cameras & film stocks to add to my collection, so these experiences are constantly evolving. Each session becomes a chance to explore a new perspective and create something truly one of a kind.
