An archive of vintage stereograph cards showcasing early 3D photography and historic scenes from around the world.

These are antique cards, arranged for parallel viewing the way they were meant to be seen: through a stereoscope.  To free-view without one, parallel works best on smaller images: resize the screen, hold it close, relax your eyes as if you’re looking through it, and slowly pull back until the two halves merge. For the full step-by-step, both methods, and what to do when it won’t click, see How to View 3D Stereographs ». More on the collection and my modern 3D work over on the Stereoscopic 3D hub ».
If you’re viewing these on a phone or tablet, turn your device sideways so the image rotates and takes up the majority of the screen. This will help your eyes adjust to viewing these images.
