On October 18, 2025, San Diego activists gathered downtown for the second No Kings Day protest, a peaceful demonstration born out of resistance to the current administration and the systems of power it represents. Across cities in the U.S. and beyond, people came together to call for solidarity, liberation, and collective self-determination.

I arrived a little late after circling downtown in search of parking (should have left earlier!). The streets were already overflowing with people, sound, and color. Even though I didn’t stay long, the atmosphere was electric. Chants echoed off buildings, handmade signs waved through the air, and art and emotion filled the space. These photos capture a small glimpse of that moment in motion.
